Another cracking result for the yams today, a hard fought 1nil defeat away to Motherwell. Even Michael Stewart was in the papers yesterday telling the yam deluded something we have known for years, they they know nothing about football.

Still, my main point, which is that it really is crap being the tiny pretend team in Edinburgh. 2nd place, 20 points, an almost wiped out debt, our own stadium, a well-organised fighting team,a manager who loves the club and a 5 million pound personal training facility.

How I wish we were in Hearts position instead...
How I wish it was us and not them who were the `big` team...

As Kermit sang - Its not easy being green...

It's not that easy being green
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow, or gold
Or something much more colorful like that

It's not easy being green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over
'Cause you're not standing out
Like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky

But green's the color of spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like a mountain
Or important like a river
Or tall like a tree

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why
But why wonder why wonder
I am green, and it'll do fine
It's beautiful, and I think it's what I want to be

I know, if only we had been the "big" team we could have recently gone to the mighty Motherwell, lost and failed to score................again.

The OP has persuaded me - I'm off to join the Jambos, it's so much more interesting AND you get to twirl your scarf above your head and look like a total numpty (well, granted, there's probably not a lot of that going on just now, but.....).

To be perfectly honest, I'm getting really hacked off with winning all these games and just can't take it any more! :greengrin

Yeah, this, having a spring in your step after a game is rubbish - I`d rather go back to the days of muttering - I`m no going back til Miller/Blobby/Mixu leaves
