1978. Hampden in May pre-Argentina. Lost 1-0 to England. Coppell IIRC. Boiling hot and uncle bought me a Ally's Tartan Army t-shirt on the way to the game.

In the North Stand, 92,000.

Home International against Wales I think, Stanton captained Scotland and I think we won. It was strange not singing Hibs songs and I remember having to bite my tongue a few times...

Against England in 1981, lost 1 nil, I think it was Paul Mariner who scored with his shoulder. We sat in the Old Main Stand right at the end close to the Rangers end. I also got a "Remember Bannockburn" flag which I still have to this day.

The other thing I remember about that day was it was the first time I ever had a Dr Pepper! - Why i have remembered that I have no idea.

Scotland Vs Canada - Easter Road 3-1 IIRC

2nd was Scotland Vs T&T - Easter Road. Remember the chants to Quasie after he scored. You're not English any more! Was quite funny til he ran along punching the air in front of the fans, and yes, I did cringe.

17th May 1969 my 8th birthday. Scotland 8 Cyprus 0. Colin Stein scored 4 goals and that game is still recalled as no Scotland striker has scored a hat-trick since !! Still got the programme too.

Germany v Scotland, Dortmund 2003 (2-1). A late starter, just The Hibs prior to that. Am now hooked. Do on average 2 away games and 1 good hand a year.

That was my first game. I was in the East Terracing which was a total death trap looking back on it. 88,000 and not a sound when Mariner scored apart from their players, bench and the old git who used to dress head to toe in the Union Flag.

1-0 v Engerland at Hampden, goal scored by the ever popular South Africa Richard Gough. Downhill from there on in.

1982 chaps.:agree: I was outside the ground that day, unable to secure a ticket.

My first Scotland game was in September 1976, a 6 -0 thrashing of Finland.

I've heard about the peeing in fountains and showing your bums but I feel this is too much information. :faf:

:top marksIt was Nov, 1984 i think. The score was 3-1 with Mo Johnston getting the first 2. Kenny's 3rd goal was a screamer and i still remember it quite vividly! I don't know if you remember this getting belted out by 75,000 Scotland fans "Arcanada, your a ******" :singing: .

Scotland v Norway in the Vogts era... Think it was 2003 or 2004 and we lost 1-0 at home to a Iversen penalty. McFadden got sent off for a handball iirc.

Been hooked since!

Same for me! Second back row of the old main stand, couldn't even see the top of the terracing opposite. Dunno what the crowd was that day but to me it seemed like the whole of Scotland was there. I was only 7 tho ..

Only been to two, first was against San Marino 4 or 5 nil I think.

As a kid I used to go to loads of U21 games at ER and Swiney. Used to get a pretty good turn out as I recall.

Thinking about it, it was possibly U23 in those days, when did that change:dunno:
