I heard we get an extra million for every goal Fletch puts away with his right - a rare financial error from the Tache.

Next he will be scoring with a header he actually means.

Hope he gets his first in the Premiership shortly.

Who was last ex player to score in English Premiership, was it Garry O ? Who would have been before him..?

Good shout - he scored 2 at Villa and 1 at reading but dont know if they were League cup games or Premiership games.

Back to Fletcher - good on him. It would be great if he could finish their top scorer this year.

Goals against Hartlepool hardly proves them wrong.
FWIW I hope he bangs them in for Burnley in the EPL, I can't see it tho.

Exactly. Two goals against lower league opposition is hardly a brave new dawn in Fletch's career. But he is still finding his way down there and he may yet make an impression against top flight opposition.
I would imagine that Coyle might not be too pleased with him anyway. Burnley need to concentrate on staying in the EPL this year and they could possibly do without the distraction of the league cup - particularly if the games go to extra time.

Latest news-Fletcher is now being pilloried by hibs.net for scoring goals in worthless competition, the useless one-footed overrated nobody:grr:

To be fair to Fletch that is the first time he has started upfront this season. In the EPL games he has been playing left mid in a 5 man midfield.
