The BBC showing live Championship games and a highlights programme? Does this mean it has lost the rights for the Premiership? Pity if that's the case, I used to enjoy Match of the Day on a Saturday evening.

PS no idea why BBC Scotland showed the WBA v Newcastle match here.

The BBC will screen live Football League matches from 2009 for the first time since the foundation of the Premier League after striking a joint deal with Sky that will bring 10 live Championship matches a year and the Carling Cup final to terrestrial television.

Aye, got my hopes up that there was going to be a repeat of what happened on some regional US channel during last years Superbowl when it just randomly cut to porn for a few minutes :greengrin

Is it just me or did the female who dealt with emails have the look of Sarah O from the dreaded STV coverage of a few years back?

Will they be showing these highlights every week or was it just a one-off until the EPL starts back up?

QPR used to have a good team in the 70s. Gerry Francis and Dave Thomas, I think.
Tony Currie was there for a while too.

I watched them a bit as my sister lived in Shepherd's Bush at the time.

Lots of Irish pubs in that part of town. It was funny to walk into one and see "Rangers" flags all over the place!
