I dont really have a clue about American Football so could someone give me a brief rule set?

Looks like a quality atmosphere. :agree:

It's live on bbc and sky sports, as well as on the bbc website. For those wondering.

Who are the 2 guys with 'Jake' in the bbc studio?

You are not allowed to tackle like these boys do on a rugby field! :agree:

I have grown to like American Football. If only it didn't take so long to complete a match. :greengrin

I don't follow it - but read that NY were worth a wee chance on the spread.

BET 365 gicving them 11.5 pts of a lead and they are 3 ahead in the actual game as I type - going to give them a wee tenner at EVS.

As posted above usually takes ages for it to finish I'm off to bed - winnings are sweet whether you watch or not........:greengrin

nb.had to edit that 3 times before I could get a bet on- odds change quicker than an Ivan Sproule counter-attack.

It's not exactly got me hooked, but i reckon if i were to watch a few more games i'd like it. Rugby/Rugby League ain't my type of sport at all but this does sound interesting.

I'm delighted, I tipped the Giants about 6 weeks ago and my mates tried to say I was daft.

I just hated the attitude of certain folk who thought the Pats only needed to turn up.

I had about 13 mates round to watch it, we did a correct score pot and closest took the money. I was the only one to prediction NY to win regardless of score so I walked away with 120 quid.

Aha, young man, you misunderstand, the cheerleaders of the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins, the Green Bay Packers, et al have nought at all to do with a sporting contest measured in formality and rules and regulation but......entirely the opposite!!:devil::devil:

That guy is not a superbowl legend, he just tries to pass himself off as one. He was a journeyman backup. I can't stand to listen to him.

Yeah, their tradition is a bit unsporting, but compared to Pats fans pre-ordering books off Amazon that are titled 19-0: A Year Stuck Up Ourselves or celebrating when there's still 2:45 on the clock it doesn't look so bad.

Anyway, it's the only thing Dolphin fans have had to celebrate all year.
