AFTER THE MIXED REACTION TO THE LAUNCH OF THE BEACH-STYLE away strip that Hibs will wear occasionally next season, Commercial Director Steven Powell has hailed the new home strip as a winner for the club at a time when it needs as much money in the tills as possible.

As revealed some weeks ago, the strip retains the traditional white sleeves and green body design that the overwhelming majority of Hibs fans wanted with the most radical departure being the 'coat hangers' design on the front of the socks. However Powell is convinced that the strip will prove an even bigger hit when the orders start to come in for it. "Advance orders for the new away kit are already 150 per cent more than our last away strip launch and I am sure the new home gear will prove to be even more successful."
