Hadda word, and now he's gone!
(Stuart Crowther)
AFTER TWO WEEKS in the
capital, Moroccan striker Abdeljilil Hadda has returned to his
club in Spain with a promise from Alex McLeish that he will
not be forgotten.
Hadda is one of three strikers
being considered by the Easter Road boss, who has not yet closed
the door on Mixu Paatelainen remaining at the club beyond the
summer. The Moroccan took part in Hibs 3-2 closed-door win over
Dundee United on Wednesday, and McLeish will now wish to see
him 'in his own environment' before moving for the player.
The Hibs boss said: "Abdeljilil
did fine, but it is very difficult to assess a player when you
have to train indoors all the time, which was a bit of a nightmare
for him. We will follow this up by watching him in his own environment.
If he does well, there are other hurdles to overcome such as
wages and fees, so nothing is clear-cut just yet."

Meanwhile Trinidad and Tobago striker
Nigel Pierre has arrived at the club and will train with Hibs
until March 24th, when he will fly out with Russell
Latapy and Lyndon Andrews to play for his country in their next
international.
Hibs chairman Malcolm
McPherson will tonight provide fans with another chance to put
him under the spotlight answering questions live on a sports
radio programme. McPherson is one of the guests on Friday's
Radio Forth sports show with Mark Donaldson, starting at 6pm.
Questions can be put to the Chairman in advance by e-mail to
mark.donaldson@fortham.co.uk,
or during the show itself by telephone (0845 345 4002) |
